AMHERST, Mass. - UMass welcomes Merrimack for a midweek matchup before hosting A-10 opponent Saint Joseph's for it's final three-game series of the regular season. Links and live updates can be found at umassathletics.com and @umasssoftball on X (Twitter).

Last Time Out:

The Minutewomen come into the week after a three-game sweep against conference opponent George Washington. Senior Sarah Keagy continues to be a catalyst at the plate, leading the team in home runs (8), RBI (28) and slugging percentage (.504). In the circle, junior Julianne Bolton continues to be a strong presence, leading the staff in games started (23), strikeouts (110) and complete games (12). 

Senior Day:

Massachusetts softball will honor Senior Day prior to it's first game on Saturday, May 4 with the ceremony beginning approximately at 11:40 a.m. The Minutewomen will honor nine student-athletes who will earn their degrees from the University of Massachusetts in the coming months. Please join the UMass softball program in honoring Jenna Bradley, Grace Cadden, Jordyn Graime, Sarah Keagy, Abby Packard, Bella Pantoja, Taylor Spexarth, Payge Suggs and Chloe Whittier at Sortino Field.

Scouting The Field:

Merrimack: The Minutewomen have faced Merrimack twice this season, holding a 0-2 record against the Warriors coming into the weekend. The Warriors enter the mid-week match-up after a 1-2 weekend against LIU. Merrimack is driven by junior Ellen Hubbard who leads the team in batting average (.347) and hits (50). The Warriors pitching staff is led by Graduate Student Madie Fornwalt, who leads the squad in ERA (3.63) and strikeouts (110). 

Saint Joseph:  Saint Joseph comes into the weekend match-up with a (20-26) overall record and a 13-10 mark in A-10 play. The Hawks offense is led by sophomore Riley York who leads the team in RBIs (28) and junior Sarah Cancila who leads the team in home runs (4). In the circle senior Emily Siler leads in strike outs (70) and innings pitched (108.0).
