Softball Lands Two On CSC Academic All-District Team

AMHERST, Mass. – Two members of the University of Massachusetts softball team earned Academic All-District honors, as announced by the College Sports Communicators organization on Tuesday. Lily Woodworth and Brooke Musch were selected for their efforts on the field and in the classroom.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® softball teams, selected by CSC, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The student-athletes must maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher and have appeared in 90 percent of all contests.
Woodworth, a Glastonbury, Conn. native, is earning her bachelor's degree in journalism. Woodworth played and started in all 49 games of the season at second base, totaling 32 hits, eight doubles, 10 RBI's and 18 runs scored. She recorded multiple hits in six games, and registered 82 putouts and 79 assists for a .958 fielding percentage. Woodworth set career-highs in assists (five, at North Florida (2/6)) and putouts (five, at Florida Atlantic (2/20)).
Musch, a Camden, N.Y. native, is earning her degree in Kinesiology. Mush played and started all 49 games of the season in centerfield, totaling 44 hits, five doubles, five triples, one homerun, 18 RBI's, 19 walks and 30 runs scored and 62 total bases with a slash line of .293/.380/.413. She swiped 23 bases on 26 attempts, ranking tenth-most in single season program history. Musch also recorded a hit in 28 games, including 12 multi-hit contests, and registered three hits in a game four times. In the field, Musch totaled 87 putouts, four assists and one error for a .989 fielding percentage in center field, including a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in conference play.
