Massachusetts Tennis Adds Five For 2023-24 Season

Alexandra O’Brien, Compassion Tsai, Amelia Tye, Mariana Campino and Ella Faessler join UMass tennis program in the fall of 2023.
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts tennis and head coach Juancarlos Nunez announced the signing of Alexandra O'Brien, Compassion Tsai and Amelia Tye, and the addition of transfers, Mariana Campino and Ella Faessler, to join the Minutewomen for the 2023-24 campaign.
"I am excited to welcome these five young women into our UMass family," said Nunez. "One thing they all share in common is the passion and desire to help our team be the best it can be. They will all add a lot of energy on and off the court to our program."
O'Brien is a native of Richland, Michigan, and a three-star recruit, who ranks No. 4, according to tennisrecruiting.net, in the state of Michigan. Tsai, another three-star recruit, is from Los Angeles, California, and a dual citizen of the United States and Taiwan, who ranks among the top-15 in Taiwan. Tye, hails from London, England, while Campino is a native of Ovar, Portugal, and Faessler is from Hilton Head, South Carolina.
The five student-athletes will help the Minutewomen bolster a roster for the 2023-24 season that will return five players.
