Jessie DiPasquale finished with seven strikeouts in the circle for UMass.
BOSTON, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts softball team was defeated by Boston University 6-0 on Wednesday afternoon at the BU Softball Field. The Minutewomen return home for Atlantic 10 action this weekend for three games against St. Bonaventure with the series beginning on Friday.

Jessie DiPasquale threw all six innings for the Minutewomen, striking out seven while allowing just two earned runs in the effort.
Â
The Terriers took advantage of a leadoff error in the first inning to plate four unearned runs, all with two outs. A.J. Huerta-Leipner capped off the frame with a two-RBI single to make it 4-0. BU added one more in the second to pull ahead 5-0 before being kept scoreless by DiPasquale and the UMass defense for the next two innings.

Grace Cadden picked up a hit for the Minutewomen in the second inning while Payge Suggs added a pair of walks in three trips to the plate.

UMass' three-game series against the Bonnies begins on Friday at 2 p.m. with a doubleheader at Sortino Field.
