Last Time Out
The Minutewomen split a doubleheader with Maine in a Tuesday doubleheader their last time out. UMass claimed a 15-6 game one win behind 14 hits as a team, led by three hits from Kendra Allen. Allen also drove home five runs in the win, capping off the game with a two-run home run, while Kristina Day added four more RBI for the Minutewomen.

Team Leaders
Amy Smith owns a team-leading .353 for a UMass squad that is hitting .295 on the year. Smith has picked up a team-best 18 hits to go along with 10 RBI. Day ranks second on the team in batting average at .341 while Allen has driven in a team-leading 13 runs. Offensively, the Minutewomen have five batters at .300 or better with three hitters within .010 of the .300 mark. In the circle, Jessie DiPasquale has struck out 69 batters in 71.0 innings of work.

The Opponent
La Salle is led offensively by Victoria Zatko's .333 average and team-best marks in doubles, home runs, RBI, slugging percentage and on-base percentage. Maddy Little adds a .324 average on a team-leading 12 hits. The Explorers have gotten 41.1 innings out of Sarah Dowalo this year while Regan Ware has thrown 34.2 innings.

Schedule Updates
UMass will now host Rhode Island in a midweek Atlantic 10 doubleheader on Wednesday, April 28 at Soritno Field. The Minutewomen were originally scheduled to take on Holy Cross, but added a doubleheader against the Rams after two of the eight scheduled games against URI this season were postponed due to a COVID pause in their program.
