UMass Athletics To Welcome Limited Spectators At Home Events

AMHERST, Mass. – As a result of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts moving to Phase IV, Step 1 of its Reopening Plan on Mar. 22, UMass Athletics is excited to announce that it has begun welcoming limited spectators to home events. In addition, UMass students and faculty/staff may begin attending games on a first come, first served basis beginning on Apr. 1.
Please note:Â fans listed on the UMass player pass list will be given priority access to home events. Only student-athletes can request tickets.

In addition, UMass students and faculty/staff will be allowed into the facilities on a first come, first served basis. Students and faculty/staff will be asked to show their green checkmark upon arrival in compliance with campus COVID testing protocols.

Fans of visiting teams and the general public will not be admitted to UMass home events at this time.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS -Â all guests must:
• Complete a self-symptom check to ensure they are healthy prior to arriving on campus. If guests are displaying any symptoms, they should not travel to campus and attend the event.
• Wear a face covering/mask (cloth or surgical-type mask), at all times when on campus and inside the venue. A face shield may be worn but must be worn with a mask or face covering.
• Always maintain physical distance (a minimum of a 6-feet) from others that are not in their household.

Fans and family on the UMass pass list planning on attending a game and traveling from out of state should adhere to the Massachusetts State Travel Advisory.Â

As of Monday, March 22, all visitors entering Massachusetts, including returning residents, are advised to quarantine for 10 days upon their arrival. Travelers in the following categories are exempt from this quarantine advisory:
• Travelers who have received a negative COVID-19 result on a test administered not more than 72 hours prior to their arrival in Massachusetts.  Travelers may also test out of the quarantine advisory after arrival in Massachusetts, as long as they quarantine until receiving a negative test result.
• Anyone who is entering Massachusetts for fewer than 24 hours
• Travelers who are fully vaccinated (i.e. who have received two doses of either the Moderna or Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines OR who have received a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, 14 days or more ago) and who do not have symptoms.

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS/FACILITY INFORMATION
All guests must abide by facility signage and event staff instructions. Physical player/guest interactions are not permitted. Separate restrooms will be available to attendees at the facility. Concessions will not be available at the venue.
Â
Failure to comply with any of the policies may result in immediate removal or ban from the athletic facility and/or campus.
Â
PARKING
Guests should not arrive prior to 30 minutes before the start of the competition. Tailgating is prohibited.Â
Â
ENTRY/EXIT
Each guest must be listed on the player-guest list for entry and must show ID to be checked off the list. Once attendees are checked in, they will receive a wristband (certifying their entry). Wristbands are only valid for that specific game/date. Guests are encouraged to stay in their seats for the duration of the competition. If re-entry is necessary, wristbands must be shown to gate personnel to regain access to the facility. Alcohol, tobacco products, and illegal substances are prohibited.

Guests must exit the facility immediately at the conclusion of competition.
