Massachusetts Tennis Sits In Top-10 In Final ITA New England Regional Team Rankings; Campino Also Ranked

The Minutewomen receive team ranking of No. 10, while Campino sits at No. 18 in singles.
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts tennis ranked among the top-10 in the ITA New England Regional Team Ranking, ranking No. 10 in the region, marking the first time in program history the team sits within the top-10 in back-to-back seasons. Mariana Campino landed at No. 18 in the ITA New England Regional Singles Rankings, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
The Minutewomen, led by head coach Juancarlos Nunez, finished the season 12-7 overall, including an unblemished 4-0 Atlantic 10 Conference mark. UMass earned the No. 2-seed heading into the A-10 Championships for the ninth time in program history and second time with Nunez at the helm. Massachusetts reached the semifinals of the league championships for the 13th time.
Campino received the sixth highest ITA Regional Singles Ranking in program history at No. 18, joining six Minutewomen on the list. She joins teammate Renata Farima (17th, 2021-22) and former teammate Danielle Hack (seventh, 2023-24) on the list. Janja Kovacevic and Jodie Lawwrence-Taylor earned the No. 17 and No. 19 spots, respectively, in 2018-19, while Ana Yrazusta was No. 14 in the 2017-18 and Michele Spiess was ranked No. 26 in 2005-06.
Campino, an A-10 All-Conference First Team member, capped the year with a 10-4 singles record, including 3-1 in the league. Primarily competing at No. 1 singles, she went 8-3 overall at the position. The Pinhal Novo, Portugal, native, also landed on the A-10 All-Academic Team and the College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District Team.
