Massachusetts Tennis Signs Three For 2026-27 Season

Sharada Gowda, Safina Khabibrakhmanova and Bali Song join the UMass tennis program in the fall of 2026.
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts tennis and head coach Juancarlos Nunez announced the signing of Sharada Gowda, Safina Khabibrakhmanova and Bali Song to join the Minutewomen for the 2026-27 campaign.
"We are excited to welcome Safina, Sharada, and Bali into our UMass Tennis family," said Nunez. "They will bring a great mix of youth and experience into our team. In getting to know them, it is clear how excited they are to join our team and how motivated they are to get better. We look forward to seeing the ways in which they will develop and contribute to the growth of our team."
Gowda is a native of Oakland Park, Florida, who has a Universal Tennis Rating of 7.42. Khabibrakhmanova, a Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, native, holds a Universal Tennis Rating of 9.19, while Song hails from San Nicolás de los Garza, Mexico, with a Universal Tennis Rating of 9.12.
"It's going to be a great year as we continue building on the momentum of a successful season," said assistant coach Hannah McColgan. "Each student-athlete brings a passion for the game, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to continued growth. We can't wait to see the impact they'll make on the program. Go UMass!"

» Registered a career-high International Tennis Federation Junior Ranking of 394
» Won multiple International Tennis Federation Junior events with wins over Blue Chip and five-star recruits
» Secured a bronze medal in the Mexico National Olympics
» A singles finalist at the J30 San Luis Potosi event
» Won the J30 Aguascalientes doubles championship
