Last Time Out
Massachusetts answered the first game with 4-1 victory in the second game of Monday's doubleheader against St. Bonaventure, led by a strong one-run performance in the circle by Olivia Cutuli and Hannah Streicher. Riley Kairer opened the scoring for UMass in game two, The Bonnies got a run back in the sixth on an RBI single, answered by Woodworth in the bottom of the frame with an RBI single of her own to score Musch and secure a 4-1 lead heading into the seventh. Streicher would close the door on St. Bonaventure, striking out three of the four batters faced in the top of the final frame to earn her first save of the season. Cutuli threw 5.1 innings on the day, tallying three strikeouts while only giving up one earned run. Streicher pitched the remaining 1.2 innings, retiring four of the seven batters faced via strikeout.
The Big Green of Dartmouth come into Wednesday's contest with an 15-13 record. They're coming off a tough Ivy League weekend series against Princeton, where they dropped two of three. Dartmouth holds a .261 batting average as a team and has tallied 98 runs on the season.
Loyola Chicago looks to snap a five-game skid, dropping the two most-recent series to Saint Louis and Dayton. The Ramblers currently bat .267 as a team, scoring 136 runs across 41 games. The pitching staff posts a 5.02 ERA, striking out 182 batters this season.
