AMHERST, MASS. -- Massachusetts (12-29, 8-9 A-10) dropped two games Loyola Chicago (22-10, 11-8) on Saturday afternoon at Loyola Softball Park.
Loyola Chicago jumped out to an early two-run lead with an RBI double in the first inning as Massachusetts dropped a 6-1 decision in the opening game of Saturday's doubleheader. Sophomore Natalee Horton earned her 14th start in the circle, throwing 156 total pitches over a complete 6.0 innings. Senior Sarah Keagy tallied the Minutewomen's lone RBI of the day, scoring Payge Suggs on a single in the top of the sixth inning. Freshman Odyssey Torres made her 30th start in the maroon and white, recording her fourth multi-hit performance.

Facing a two-run deficit in the top of the sixth inning, Massachusetts found a late inning rally loading the bases with no outs. Bell Pantoja and Lydia Castro each recorded RBIs in back-to-back at bats, tying the game at two-runs apiece heading into the final frame. The Ramblers would walk-off the afternoon with a game-winning sacrifice fly, securing two victories at Loyola Softball Park. Junior Julianne Bolton receiver her 19th starting nod of the season, striking out four across 6.2 innings in the circle.
