AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts softball team will conclude home conference play this weekend with a three game series against the George Washington Colonials on Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29.

Last Time Out
Massachusetts dropped both games of their double header against Rhode Island on Wednesday by scores of 6-0 and 9-4, respectively. Bella Pantoja and Jules Shields eached logged RBI singles on the day while Grace Cadden registered a 2 RBI single to round out Minutewomen scoring.

Scouting The Colonials
George Washington has gone 15-24 overall on the season and 5-15 in conference play. Arizona Ritchie leads the squad at the plate with a .325 average, followed by Rose Cano (.287) and Maggie Greco (.275). Ashley Corpuz leads the team in RBI with 22, followed by Abby Schaub with 20. Cano also represents the Colonials in the circle, posting a 2.90 ERA in 166.1 innings pitched this season. She has struck out 91 batters and allowed 69 earned runs on the season. Emma Fales has registered a 6.24 ERA and struck out 19 batters in 55.0 innings of work. She has allowed 49 earned runs on the season thus far.

Looking Ahead
The Minutewomen will play their final home contest of the season on Wednesday, May 3 against Merrimack before finishing up regular season play with a three-game series at George Mason on Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7.
