AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts softball team is set to host the Rhode Island Rams on Wednesday for the final midweek conference doubleheader of the regular season.

Last Time Out
Massachusetts dropped their weekend series against Fordham by scores of 0-4, 0-2, and 2-10 (6 inn.). Giana Wameling logged four hits in the series, while Olivia Packard tallied three. In the circle, Julianne Bolton put in 6.0 innings of work, Jenna Bradley put in 5.0 innings of work, and Jessie DiPasquale threw 4.2 innings.

Scouting The Rams
URI currently sits at 16-27-1 on the season, going 6-11 in conference play. Skyler Rapuano leads the Rams so far in batting average (.297), while Becca Zawistowski has the most RBIs (15). Additionally, Elena Gonzalez has tallied the most hits this season with 34, followed by Rachel Zingerman with 33. In the circle, Katie Zaun has posted a 3.08 ERA, struck out 100 batters, and allowed 51 earned runs in 116.0 innings pitched. Liz Lychard has a 4.00 ERA through 113.2 innings of work, striking out 117 batters and allowing 65 earned runs.

Looking Ahead
The Minutewomen will wrap up home conference play against George Washington on Saturday, April 29 (Senior Day) and Sunday, April 30. The final home contest on the Minutewomen schedule is set for Wednesday, May 3 against Merrimack before the squad heads to George Mason to conclude the regular season slate with a weekend series on Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7.
