AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts softball team will head to Fordham for their first road conference series in April.
Last Time Out
Massachusetts faced the RV Boston University Terriers on Wednesday, losing the contest by a score of 3-1. The lone Minutewomen run of the contest came off a Jules Shields RBI double, which sent Bella Pantoja home. Natalee Horton and Jenna Bradley each saw 2.0 innings in the circle, while Julianne Bolton saw three and recorded the only two Minutewomen strikeouts of the contest.
Scouting The Rams
Fordham is 14-24 on the season so far and 5-9 in conference play. Neleh Nogay leads the Rams in batting average (.354), followed by Michaela Carter (.280) and Julia Martine (.246). Sydney Wells leads the squad in RBIs with 22, followed by Eva Koratsis with 16. Bailey Enoch is the Ram with the most runs on the season thus far with 18. In the circle, Holly Beeman leads the pitching staff with a 2.02 ERA in 75.2 innings pitched. Enoch has a 4.54 ERA in 69.1 innings pitched, while Devon Miller posts a 7.00 ERA in 72.0 innings of work. Beeman has allowed just 17 runs on the season, while Miller has struck out 48 batters.
Looking Ahead
The Minutewomen will return home for a doubleheader against Rhode Island on Wednesday, April 26 before wrapping up home conference play against George Washington on Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30. The final home contest on the Minutewomen schedule is set for Wednesday, May 3 against Merrimack.
