AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts softball team will wrap up their eight-game homestand on Wednesday as they take on the Boston University Terriers.
Last Time Out
Massachusetts went 2-1 in their weekend series against St. Bonaventure, winning both Saturday contests. Abby Lamson, Abby Packard, and Bella Pantoja each logged three RBIs on the weekend, while Chloe Whittier, Sarah Keagy, Olivia Packard, and Jules Shields tallied two apiece. Pantoja went 6-for-8 at the plate on the weekend, while Lamson went 4-for-6.
Scouting The Terriers
Boston University is 36-7 on the season, as well as 9-0 in conference league play. Kayla Roncin leads the Terriers at the plate with a .463 average, followed by Lauren Keleher (.376) and Caitlin Coker (.353). Roncin also leads the team in hits (68) and RBIs (39). In the circle, Allison Boaz has a 1.54 ERA in 123.0 innings pitched. Boaz has allowed 27 earned runs and struck out 113 batters on the season. The Minutewomen will head to Fordham for a three-game series on Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23. They will return home for a doubleheader against Rhode Island on Wednesday, April 26 before wrapping up home conference play against George Washington on Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30.
