AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts softball team is set for a three-game series against the Dayton Flyers this weekend.

Last Time Out
Massachusetts fell to UMass Lowell on Wednesday by a score of 3 to 0. The Minutewomen recorded six hits on the day, two of which came from Sarah Keagy. In the circle, Julianne Bolton recorded eight strikeouts in a row between the first and fourth innings, putting in 5.0 innings of work and striking nine total batters out.

Scouting The Flyers
Dayton is currently 13-10 on the season, having yet to compete in conference action. Emma Schutter leads the Flyers at the plate with a .486 average. Alyssa Cacini has logged a team-high 18 RBIs on the year, followed by Kaelene Walter with 13 and Taylor Erschen with 10. In the circle, Izzy Kemp has a .99 ERA in 63.1 innings pitched, allowing only nine earned runs and logging 84 strikeouts. Haven Dwyer has a 2.38 ERA in 50.0 innings of work, posting 22 strikeouts and allowing 17 earned runs.

Looking Ahead
The Minutewomen will come back home for one game against Boston College on Wednesday, March 29 at 6 p.m. and home play will open up at Sortino Field on April 1 and 2 when UMass hosts three against Saint Louis.
