AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts softball team are off to Lowell on Wednesday afternoon to take on the River Hawks at 2 p.m.

Last Time Out
Massachusetts dropped three contests against St. Joseph's in the first weekend of conference play. Giana Wameling went 4-for-11 at the plate, while Bella Pantoja led the squad in RBI with three on the weekend. Abby Packard and Jules Shields each recorded two RBIs in the series while Pantoja and Shields each logged a homerun. On the mound, Jessie DiPasquale recorded a 1.68 ERA in 8.1 innings pitched, recording five strikeouts and only allowing two earned runs.

Scouting The River Hawks
UMass Lowell currently sits at 8-12-1 on the season. Morgan Fisher currently leads the River Hawks with a .371 average at the plate. Cayla Tulley leads the squad in RBIs with 20, followed by Fisher with 16 and Mya Case with 13. Ryley White leads the pitching squad with a 1.55 ERA and 54 strikeouts. White has also allowed only nine earned runs on the season. Giana LaCedra has a 4.34 ERA on the season so far, having struck out 27 batters and allowed 24 earned runs.

Looking Ahead
The Minutewomen will head to Dayton, Ohio for three against the Flyers on Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26 before coming back home for one against Boston College on Wednesday, March 29. Home play will open up at Sortino Field on April 1 and 2 when UMass hosts three against Saint Louis.
