AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts softball team hosts Saint Joseph's for a three-game Atlantic 10 series this weekend at Sortino Field. The series between the Minutewomen and Hawks begins on Saturday with a noon doubleheader and concludes on Sunday at noon with game three.

Sweep, Sweep
The Minutewomen picked up their second Atlantic 10 three-game series sweep as they concluded the series at Rhode Island with a 9-4 win on Tuesday. Kendra Allen drove in four runs on the day to pace a UMass offense that plated five runs in the seventh inning to break the tie. UMass swept St. Bonaventure the previous weekend at Sortino Field and have added a league series win over George Mason.

Pushin' P
Payge Suggs leads the Atlantic 10 in on-base percentage at .482 and ranks 93rd nationally in the category. The sophomore is currently on a six-game reached base streak and posted a .688 on-base percentage over five games last week.

Free Passes
Kendra Allen ranks second in the Atlantic 10 in walks and ranks 46th nationally in walks per game with 0.68. Allen sits second on the UMass squad in on-base percentage at .411 and finished the 2021 season as the A-10 leader in on-base percentage and ranked sixth nationally in walks per game.

Striking 'Em Out
Jessie DiPasquale has fanned seven or more batters in each of her last three starts after most recently striking out nine against UMass Lowell on Wednesday. DiPasquale ranks second in the Atlantic 10 in strikeouts on the year with 97 and ranks inside the top-150 nationally in the category.

Pinpoint Pitching
Julianne Bolton just two batters in 76.2 innings of work to rank eighth in Division I in least amount of hit batters. The freshman has added 73 strikeouts on the year and has fanned 42 batters in 34.1 innings of Atlantic 10 play.

Looking Ahead
The Minutewomen conclude their five-game homestand on Wednesday at 4 p.m. against Dartmouth for hitting the road for their next five. UMass begins the road trip with three games at Dayton the following weekend and conclude non-conference action for the year on May 4 with a doubleheader at Stony Brook.
