The Minutewomen used a three-run first inning to pace the offense in game one while Amy Smith and Kendra Allen each posted multi-hit outings.

George Mason's lone run of the opening game came in the third on a two-out base hit that brought home a runner from second to bring the score to 3-1.
UMass added two runs in the fourth inning to bring it to a 5-1 final, first scoring as Pantoja crossed on a wild pitch. Allen's second hit of game one dropped just inside the right field line to score Smith for the game's final run.

Game 2 – UMass 4, George Mason 2
Grace Cadden's first collegiate home run put the Minutewomen on the board in the fourth inning of game two. Cadden sent a two-run shot to left center field to put UMass ahead 2-0 in the fourth inning.
After George Mason tied it with a two-RBI single in the bottom half, the Minutewomen responded with a run in the sixth and seventh innings. Kristina Day reached on a single through the left side after an Allen leadoff walk and both runners moved into scoring position on a Cadden sacrifice bunt the following at-bat. Emily Whelan drove in a pinch running Abby Packard, who slid under the tag at the plate, with a sacrifice fly to right field to make it 3-2.
Pantoja led off the seventh inning with a bunt single and moved over to third on a pair of wild pitches to set up a Smith sacrifice fly to right field for the game's final run. Pantoja finished with two of UMass' seven hits in the doubleheader finale.
