AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts softball team hosts Maine tomorrow in a midweek doubleheader at Sortino Field. The Minutewomen and Black Bears begin the first of two games at 1 p.m. on ESPN+. 

Home Sweet Home
Wednesday's doubleheader marks the first two of six straight games at Sortino Field for the Minutewomen. UMass hosts its first Atlantic 10 series at home on Saturday and Sunday against Fordham before hosting UConn on Wednesday at 4 p.m. to wrap up the homestand.

Kendra's Heating Up
Kendra Allen hit a team-leading .667 at the plate over four games last week and added a .769 on-base percentage and a .889 slugging-percentage. Allen posted three multi-hit games as she began the week with two hits in two plate appearances against Boston College in the Sortino Field opener. On Saturday at Saint Louis, Allen went 2-for-3 with a RBI in the opening game before posting six RBI on 2-for-3 with three runs scored and two walks in a game two win over the Billikens.

Recent Results
The Minutewomen went 1-2 in their three-game series at Saint Louis over the weekend. UMass picked up a 16-10 win in game two behind six RBI from Kendra Allen while Chloe Whittier went 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBI and three runs scored. Payge Suggs added three hits of her own to go along with three runs with Jules Shields adding a multi-hit, multi-RBI performance.

UMass Leaders
Payge Suggs leads the Minutewomen with a .339 average at the plate while Bella Pantoja owns team-bests in hits (27) and total bases (36). Chloe Whittier ranks second on the squad in average at .316 and adds 17 RBI with Kendra Allen leading UMass in RBI with 19. Jessie DiPasquale leads the UMass pitching staff with 56 strikeouts in 71.2 innings of work while Julianne Bolton has struck out 43 in 46.0 innings after most recently picking up 10 strikeouts in her last start on Saturday.
