Last Time Out
UMass split a pair of games last time out against Rhode Island on Wednesday as they came away with a 12-0 win in five-innings. Hannah Bunker drove in four runs on a pair of hits in the game while Caroline Deem added two RBI, two hits and two runs scored. Jessie DiPasquale threw all 5.0 innings in the win while striking out eight and holding URI to just a pair of hits.
UMass Leaders
Jules Shields leads UMass at the plate with team-leading marks that include batting average (.371), RBI (19), slugging percentage (.629) and total bases (39). Amy Smith has picked up a team-best 26 hits on the season while Kendra Allen's .552 on-base percentage leads the Minutewomen.
The Opponent
Fordham heads into the weekend series with a 31-5 overall record and a 12-0 mark in Atlantic 10 play after sweeping La Salle over the weekend before a doubleheader sweep of Binghamton on Wednesday. The Rams are led at the plate by Brianna Pinto's .446 average while Rachel Hubertus has driven in a team-leading 43 runs. Fordham has gotten over 158 combined innings of work from Devon Miller and Madie Aughinbaugh.
