The Opponent
Providence comes into the midweek matchup with a 28-19 overall record after sweeping Butler at home last weekend. UMass took its last meeting with the Friars earlier in the season on Feb. 17, led by three Riley Gregoire hits along with RBIs from Kaitlyn Stavinoha, Madison Gimpl and Danielle Ellis. The Friars are led offensively by Emma Lee's .406 average on 58 hits while Daniela Alvarez leads Providence in the circle with a 17-6 record and a 2.03 ERA.

Last Time Out
The Minutewomen took game two and three in their three-game series at home against Fordham, bouncing back in game two with an 11-6 victory behind four RBI from Stavinoha before taking game three on Sunday, 4-1. Quinn Breidenbach went the distance in both wins, allowing just one earned run in each contest as she finished the week 3-0 after winning game two at Rhode Island on Wednesday.

Movin' On Up
Erin Stacevicz needs one hit to take control of third all-time in UMass program history in career hits as the senior sits at 235 in her career. Stacevicz also ranks eighth in career batting average (.353), ninth in runs scored (136) and 19th in total bases (272). Fellow senior Stavinoha has continued her climb up the career hit list and currently sits tied with Jena Cozza for 17th with 197 in her career.

Keepin' It 100
Kaycee Carbone became the 21st player in program history to eclipse the 100 career RBI mark over the weekend as she moved into a tie for 20th-most all time with her sister Taylor. Carbone is the second Minutewoman to reach the career mark this year as Stavinoha also reached the mark and currently sits at 108 career RBI.
