The Opponent
UMass faces off against Boston College for the second time this season after picking up an 8-3 win over the Eagles on the road on March 27. The Minutewomen took a 4-2 lead in the fourth on a Melissa Garcia two RBI double after Kaycee Carbone drove in the game tying run on their way to the win. Carbone finished with a pair of RBI while Kaitlyn Stavinoha added two as well to go along with two runs scored and two walks.

Last Time Out
The Minutewomen picked up an Atlantic 10 series win over George Washington over the weekend at Sortino Field, rallying from down two runs in game one to win 4-3 in eight innings on a Madison Gimpl RBI single that brought home the game-winning run to set the tone for game two. In game two, the Minutewomen plated 14 runs to the tune of 13 hits in a 14-1 win with Gimpl driving home five runs while Garcia scored three times and drove in a pair on two hits.

Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week
Freshman Danielle Ellis captured her first Atlantic 10 weekly award as she was named the Rookie of the Week after batting .750 in three starts with three RBI over the weekend. Ellis did not commit an out in a doubleheader sweep of George Washington on Saturday, going 3-of-3 at the plate with a walk in a 4-3 comeback win before driving in a pair on two hits while scoring twice in a 14-1 game two win.

See You Later
Freshman Kendra Allen hit her first collegiate long ball to spark a comeback win over George Washington in game one, sending a two-run shot over the wall in left field in the bottom of the sixth inning to tie it and 3-3 and break a five-inning scoreless drought for the Minutewomen.

Movin' On Up
Senior Erin Stacevicz continued her climb up the UMass record books over the weekend, moving past Holly Aprile (1989-92) for 9th on the career runs list with 133 while remaining in fourth on the career hit list with 226. Stacevicz needs 10 more hits to pass Aprile for 3rd all-time and currently ranks 9th in career batting average with a .351 clip.
