AMHERST, Mass.Kaycee Carbone drove in two runs and picked up a pair of hits as the University of Massachusetts softball team fell to George Washington 12-4 in the series finale on Sunday afternoon at Sortino Field.

George Washington responded with two runs in the fourth after the Minutewomen broke through for their first run of the day to take a 6-2 advantage before bringing in six runs on seven hits in their final trip to the plate in the seventh.

Bunker's second hit of the game drove in the second UMass run as the sophomore singled through the left side to score a pinch-running Riley Gregoire from second.

Stavinoha started the seventh off with a single to right field before Carbone's second RBI hit of the day drove in the third UMass run on the double with no outs. Danielle Ellis added the fourth and final run with a sacrifice fly to right field to bring in Carbone from third.

The Minutewomen remain at home for a Wednesday afternoon matchup against Boston College at 4 p.m. prior to hitting the road for a three-game series at Dayton beginning on Friday with a single game at 3 p.m.
