The Opponent

The Minutewomen picked up a doubleheader split at Stetson on Wednesday, bouncing back from a game one loss in extras to. beat the Hatters 15-2 in six innings in game two. A 12-run sixth inning in the win saw a pair of firsts as Kristina Day drove in a pair on a RBI double while Shea Newsome brought home a run with a RBI single to left field. In all, nine Minutewomen recorded a hit, 15 reached base safely and 11 drove in a run.

Atlantic 10 Player of the Week
Kaycee Carbone earned the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honor after slugging two home runs with a line at the plate of 600/.778/1.800 in a split at Stetson. The senior's second homer of the doubleheader was a three-run shot that sparked a 12-run sixth inning for the Minutewomen in an eventual 15-2 win in six. On the year, Carbone leads UMass in home runs, on-base percentage and runs scored while ranking second in slugging percentage and total bases.

Atlantic 10 Leaders
Kiara Oliver leads the league in saves on the season with three while ranking second among league leaders in strikeouts with 60 and fifth in ERA at 2.81. Offensively, Carbone ranks second in home runs and sixth in on-base percentage while Stavinoha holds the fourth-best slugging percentage, seventh-best on-base percentage and eighth-best batting average. As a team, the Minutewomen rank second in ERA (3.20) and fourth in on-base percentage (.344).
