Among the first-team selections is sophomore pitcher Kiara Oliver, who finished her freshman season as the A-10 leader in wins (18) and strikeouts (173). Offensively, seniors Melissa Garcia, Kaitlyn Stavinoha, Erin Stacevicz and Kaycee Carbone lead a UMass attack that outscored league opponents 146-34 a season ago.
Nationally Ranked Offense
The Minutewomen finished 2018 with a .317 team batting average while bringing in 290 runs for a squad that finished the year ranked fourth nationally in on-base percentage (.410) and 11th in team batting average.
Non-Conference Slate
UMass will take on five NCAA Tournament teams from a season ago during the non-conference tournament stretch, beginning with Missouri on Saturday as part of opening weekend. The Minutewomen travel to Athens, Ga. next weekend for a five-game slate that includes two match ups against nationally ranked Georgia.
Missouri, UMass, Iowa, LIU and more will take the field in Florida.
