Softball’s Weekend Finale Against Eastern Michigan Cancelled

UMass will be back in action next weekend for four games at the St. John’s Invitational on Saturday.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Massachusetts softball team's Louisville Classic finale against Eastern Michigan has been cancelled because of cold temperatures on Sunday morning.
The Minutewomen (9-8 Overall) went 2-2 at the Louisville Classic, capping off their weekend with a 5-2 win over Louisville to snap the Cardinals' 10-game winning streak on Saturday afternoon at Ulmer Stadium. UMass posted a .304 team batting average in four contests led by Jena Cozza's .500 average while Erin Stacevicz hit .429 with four RBI and three extra-base hits.
UMass returns to action Saturday for a pair of contests to open up the St. John's Invitational, beginning with Binghampton at 9 a.m. before taking on Boston University at 1 p.m.
