CAA Partners With Lax Sports Network For "Game Of The Week" Series
The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) and the Lacrosse Sports Network (LSN) struck up a partnership to digitally stream 15 contests during the 2017 regular season in a "Game of the Week" series. Massachusetts will participate in two of those contests during home games against Fairfield (4/15) and Drexel (4/28). Those two contests will be available to watch exclusively through LSN's platform.

Smith With The Stop
Senior goalie D.J. Smith made 70 saves over the opening six games of the season, an average of 11.7 per game. He ranks 17th nationally and first in the CAA for saves per game through play on Thurs., March 16. His 70 saves already more than double his career total entering the season (50). Smith made at least 10 in each of the opening six games this season.

Bogart Goes Buck-Wild
Tyler Bogart owns nine points over the last two games on eight goals and an assist during wins over No. 15 Yale, 11-9, and UMass Lowell, 10-8. Bogart has a team-high 12 goals on the year over 33 shots attempted (36.4 shot percentage). He has four multi-goal efforts over six games played this year, including five as a starter. His 12 goals are already more than his freshman year total (11) over 13 games.

Ike Likes Caused Turnovers
Sophomore long-stick midfielder and close defenseman Isaac Paparo has 10 caused turnovers in the opening six games of the year - already four more than the All-CAA Second Team and CAA All-Rookie Team honoree had as a freshman in 2016. He is tied for 24th nationally and is second in the CAA for caused turnovers per game (1.67) through games on Sun., March 12.

A Familiar Face On The Opposite Sideline
University of Massachusetts men's lacrosse faced a familiar opponent on Tues., March 7 with its trip to No. 15 Yale, which is led by former UMass assistant coach Andy Shay. From 2001-03, Shay assisted Greg Cannella in leading the Minutemen to 37 victories, three New England titles and a pair of ECAC championships. Shay filled roles that included recruiting coordinator and defensive coordinator. He departed the Minutemen for Yale following the 2003 season and is 113-79 at the helm of the Bulldog program with five Ivy League titles. The Minutemen downed Yale, 11-9 for the upset win in the first meeting between the sides since Shay assumed head coach duties.
