Minutewomen Walk It Off In Sunday Victory Over Dayton

AMHERST, MASS. -- Massachusetts (11-23, 7-5 A-10) claimed a 6-5 walk-off victory over Dayton (18-14, 8-4)  Sunday afternoon in eight innings at Sortino Field. The win marks the second walk-off for the Minutewomen at Sortino Field this season.
 
Massachusetts claimed its seventh Atlantic 10 victory of the season in dramatic fashion, breaking a 5-5 deadlock in the bottom of the eighth inning to secure the win. Senior Jenna Bradley starred at the plate recording a team-high two hits and four runs batted in, including the game-winning RBI single in the last frame. The performance marked a career day for Bradley, setting new single game career-high numbers in both categories. Junior Julianne Bolton received her 16th starting nod of season, pitching 4.0 innings and striking out three, before giving way to Natalee Horton in relief. Horton earned her fourth win of the season, allowing just one earned run and zero extra-base hits across the final 4.0 innings in the circle. Four other Minutewomen recorded hits on the afternoon, including Abby Packard who tallied an RBI single in the bottom of the first to plate the Massachusetts' third run of the day.

  • 2: Massachusetts snagged its second walk-off win of the season at Sortino Field.
  • 4: Bradley tallied a team-high four RBIs on the day, marking a single-game career high.
