Massachusetts Falls To South Carolina On Day Two in Columbia

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Massachusetts (3-10) dropped their lone matchup on day two of the Gamecock Invitational to South Carolina (12-2) on Saturday at Carolina Softball Stadium.
The Minutewomen found themselves in a pitchers dual for much the of the game as Junior Julianne Bolton allowed just one run through the first four innings of play. The no. 17 Gamecocks however, broke through in the fifth and sixth innings scoring two runs in each inning to claim the 5-0 victory.
Bolton got the starting nod in the circle, totaling two strikeouts on 85 pitches. The Junior now has a 3.85 ERA across five starts in the circle.
