AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts softball team is set to host the Saint Louis Billikens to open up home play at Sortino Field on Saturday and Sunday.

Last Time Out
Massachusetts was victorious against Boston College on Wednesday night by a score of 6 to 5. Jules Shields highlighted the night with 5 RBIs. The senior logged a three RBI home run and two RBI doubles to post the most single-game RBIs in her career.

Jessie DiPasquale threw three strikeouts and allowed three runs before being relieved by Natalee Horton, who recorded five strikeouts and allowed one earned run in 4.0 innings of work.

Horton Hailed UMass Student-Athlete Of The Week
Horton was titled UMass Student-Athlete of the Week on Wednesday, earning the award thanks to her complete game shutout against Dayton, in which the freshman threw 12 strikeouts to secure the first conference win of the season for the Minutewomen.

Scouting The Billikens
The Saint Louis Billikens currently sit at 13-17 on the season while having gone 5-1 in conference play. Gabbie Kowalik leads the Billikens at the plate, having gone .446 on the season so far. Abby Mallo leads the squad in RBIs with 28, followed by Kowalik (24) and Chloe Rhine (18). Mallo has hit five home runs on the season so far, while Kowalik has logged four. In the circle, Chloe Wendling has posted a 3.51 ERA in 125.2 innings pitched. She has also struck out 101 batters and allowed 63 earned runs. Kalli Hanner has a 5.31 ERA in 30.1 innings pitched, striking out 20 batters and allowing 23 earned runs.

Looking Ahead
The Minutewomen will travel to UConn for one contest on Wednesday, April 5 before returning home for a nine game homestand, beginning with a three-game series against Loyola Chicago on Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8.
