AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts softball team will embark on their second to last tournament of their non-conference tournament slate this weekend as they head south to Tallahassee, Fla. to the Dugout Club Classic hosted by Florida State.

Last Time Out
The Minutewomen went 3-2 at the CSU Buc Up Tournament, securing two wins against North Dakota and one against Providence. Chloe Whittier led the Minutewomen with a .444 batting average on the weekend, tallying eight hits in 18 at bats. Bella Pantoja logged a .294 batting average, notching five hits and logging five runs on the weekend. Whittier and Olivia Packard recorded 3 RBIs on the weekend apiece, leading the team in the statistic.  

Natalee Horton logged her first win against North Dakota, aiding the Minutewomen in a 2-0 victory with her complete game shutout. Jessie DiPasquale posted a 1.50 ERA in 14.0 innings pitched on the weekend, while Julianne Bolton held a 1.62 ERA in 13.0 innings in the circle.

In The Circle
Natalee Horton leads the Minutewomen pitchers in the circle, posting a 2.71 ERA, allowing 12 hits and striking out seven batters in 10.1 innings of work.

Rookie Of The Week
Horton garnered the Minutewomen's first Atlantic 10 softball weekly award of the season two weeks prior, collecting the week's Rookie of the Week accolade. The freshman pitcher posted a complete game shutout in her first career win as a Minutewoman at this weekend's CSU Buc Up Tournament at Charleston Southern University. The Worcester, Mass. native recorded five strikeouts and no runs against in 7.0 innings of work in Sunday's 2-0 win against North Dakota.

On A Roll
The Minutewomen look to extend their three-game win streak this weekend after starting out 0-6 on the season. In their first three wins of the season, Grace Cadden and Sarah Keagy each posted three runs, while Whittier tallied five hits and Keagy notched three. Jules Shields, Whittier, and Payge Suggs each recorded a double in the three victories.
