Against Yale
- Massachusetts won the last matchups between the squads, 13-10 on February 29, 2020. The last six games between the Gorillas and the Bulldogs have been decided by three goals or less. UMass lost 12-11 to Yale in overtime in its last trip to Reese Stadium on March 2, 2019.
Record Setting Man Up Day
To Quickly Recap
- Grant Breyo led the Gorillas offense with his first career hat trick and snagged one groundball, while Kevin Tobin dished two assists and picked up two groundballs. Gabriel Procyk chipped in with two goals and registered one groundball.
- BU scored three goals over the first 6 minutes and 24 seconds of the contest to build an early 3-0 advantage. Breyo put UMass on the board at the 6:47 mark of the first, but the Terriers quickly countered to go back up by three before the close of the quarter.
- After Boston University opened the scoring in the second, back-to-back goals by Breyo and Procyk just over a minute apart brought UMass back to within two, but that would be as close as the Gorillas would get as the Terriers went on a seven-goal run to pull away.
- Caleb Hammett won 10-of-20 faceoffs for the Maroon & White and had four groundballs. Goalie Matt Knote finished the day with 10 saves.
