Last Time Out
UMass posted a 1-0 shutout win over Yale in the non-conference finale on Wednesday at Rudd Field. Chandler Pedolzky scored the game-winning goal in the 15th-minute with a right-footed strike into the right side of goal for her third of the season. The shutout marked the second solo shutout for Megan Olszewski in goal and the third of the season for the Minutewomen.

Six-Match Unbeaten Streak
The Minutewomen concluded non-conference play with a six-match unbeaten streak dating back to their 3-0 win over UMass Lowell at Rudd Field on August 26. UMass has outscored its opponents 9-3 during the six-game span with four wins and two draws. The unbeaten streak is the longest for the Minutewomen since the 2018 campaign, when they won seven consecutive games with a draw for an eight-match unbeaten streak.

The Opponent
Duquesne comes into the Atlantic 10 opener on Sunday with a 2-3-1 overall record after falling to Buffalo 4-0 in their last contest. Emma Bundy leads Duquesne with three goals and an assist on the team with a team-leading nine shots on target. Three different goalkeepers have seen action for Duquesne, with Megan Virgin leading the way with 22 saves in 447 minutes in goal.

Minutewomen Among A-10 Leaders
Pedolzky and Lauren Smida rank tied for fourth in the Atlantic 10 with goals as they both have three through eight games this season. Pedolzky is also tied for the league lead in assists with three and ranks third in points with nine. Olszewski leads the A-10 in goals against average at .526 and in save percentage at .885.
