AMHERST, Mass. – After picking up a road win at UMass Lowell earlier this week, the No. 19/20 UMass women's lacrosse team remains on the road this weekend as the Minutewomen take on Ohio State in Milton, Ga. on Sunday at 12 p.m.

Sunday marks the second-ever meeting between the two programs, and second in the last two seasons. In that first matchup, Kiley Anderson notched a game-high seven goals, including the game-winner as UMass picked up a 15-14 win over Ohio State.

Road warriors
Dating back to last season, the Minutewomen have won five straight regular season road games, outscoring their opponents 70-53.
Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer
Sunday, the Minutewomen are Lacing Up 4 Pediatric Cancer to support the Go4theGoal Foundation to help kids battling cancer.

Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer began in the fall of 2011.  Since then, professional, college and youth teams have participated in raising funds and awareness for the No. 1 disease killer of children.  To date, over a half million athletes have supported our cause. Minutewomen run past UMass Lowell, 21-8
Haley Connaughton, Stephanie Crokeand Emma Dotsikas scored four goals apiece in the first half alone to set the tone for the No. 19 UMass women's lacrosse team (2-1), who bolted out to an early lead and never looked back in a 21-8 victory over UMass Lowell (1-3) on Monday afternoon at Cushing Field.

Connaughton led the way with eight points (four goals, four assists) on the afternoon, closely followed by Dotsikas (four goals, three assists) and Croke. Brinley Anderson, Andrea Meincke and Julia Smith added two goals each.Â

Lauren Hiller made five saves for the Minutewomen in her third start of the season before giving way to Gina Carroll(three saves) early in the second half, while Caitlyn Petro (nine) and Amy Moreau (six) paced Massachusetts on the draw throughout the game.

UMass tops No. 5 Boston College for highest win in program history
After seeing No. 5 Boston College storm back to erase a four-goal deficit and take a 10-9 lead with 13 minutes to play, UMass responded in a massive way by scoring six of the game's final seven goals to knock off the Eagles on Feb. 8Â at Garber Field, 15-11.

The win was UMass' first over a top-five team in the history of the program, and the first victory against a ranked opponent since beating No. 10 Colorado in the first round of the 2017 NCAA Tournament.

UMass picked second in A-10 Preseason Poll
Richmond, the defending conference champion, was picked to win the league with six first-place votes, followed closely by the Minutewomen in second with four first-place votes. Saint Joseph's, George Mason and Duquesne were tabbed to finish in the third through fifth spots, respectively, followed by VCU, Davidson, George Washington, La Salle and St. Bonaventure.
