Women’s Lacrosse Receives Academic Honors from IWLCA

AMHERST, Mass. – The UMass women's lacrosse team received multiple honors from the IWLCA on Wednesday. As a team, the Minutewomen were named an Academic Squad honoree, with 11 members named to the Academic Honor Roll.
 
Team honorees must have a GPA of 3.2 or higher for the academic year.
 
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

The Minutewomen have enjoyed plenty of success in the classroom, with most recently, 13 earning a spot on the Academic All-MAC Team.
 
On the field in 2026, UMass advanced to a conference championship game for an 18th straight season. The Minutewomen finished with the No. 2 scoring offense and No. 3 scoring defense in the nation, proving to be one of the nation's top teams on both sides of the ball. Kassidy Morris was named first team All-Region and All-ECAC, along with first team All-MAC. Bridget Valentine was named MAC Defensive Player of the Year, with Cate Marshall garnering MAC Rookie of the Year and Jana Drummond earning Coach of the Year.
