April 18, 2026 | Women's Lacrosse
DETROIT - The Massachusetts women's lacrosse team led 12-0 after the first quarter and wouldn't look back in a dominant 22-3 win at Detroit Mercy on Saturday. Dylan Lyons and Katie Peterson each scored four goals to lead the offense, all coming in the first half as the Minutewomen cruised to their ninth straight win.
UMass improves its record to 13-2 and 6-0 in the MAC."We are extremely proud of the team's start and execution in the first quarter," said head coach Jana Drummond. "Full team connection through the entirety of the game. Team was excited to get so many people in."
Lyons' four goals marked her sixth straight hat trick and 10th consecutive multi-goal game. Seven different Minutewomen tallied multiple points, led by six (two goals, four assists) from Ava Connaughton.
