Women's Tennis Sweeps St. Thomas, 9-0

MIAMI, Fla. -- The University of Massachusetts women's tennis team swept St. Thomas University, 9-0, yesterday as they continued its spring break trip in Florida. They went 1-1 on the day after an earlier 9-0 loss to Lynn University.
The only Minutewomen to lose a game was freshman Francesca Mancini (Milan, Italy). She defeated the No. 1 player from St. Thomas 6-1, 6-1. Everyone else swept their match 6-0, 6-0.
The schools did not even play the No. 6 singles match or any of the doubles as a UMass victory was guaranteed with its first five singles wins.
The Minutewomen will conclude their trip today, when they take on Florida Atlantic at 2:00 p.m.
