Massachusetts Tennis Lands In Final ITA New England Regional Team Rankings; Hack, Jonglertrakul Also Ranked

The Minutewomen receive team ranking of No. 6, while Hack sits No. 7 in singles and Hack and Jonglertrakul are No. 5 in doubles.

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts tennis earned the program's first-ever final ITA New England Regional Team Ranking, ranking No. 6 in the region. Danielle Hack landed at No. 7 in the ITA New England Regional Singles Rankings, while Hack and Thamonpan Jonglertrakul sit at No. 5 in the ITA New England Regional Doubles Rankings, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
 
The Minutewomen, led by head coach and Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year Juancarlos Nunez, capped off a successful year with a 15-8 overall record, including a 4-1 mark in the A-10 Conference. UMass won the third A-10 Championship Title in program history, while making its third appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Massachusetts completed its home schedule with a 7-1 record and went on a four-match win streak to finish out the regular season. The Minutewomen continued their win streak in the postseason with three consecutive victories in the A-10 Tournament, before falling to No. 2 Stanford in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.
 
Hack earned the highest ITA Regional Singles Ranking of any Minutewoman in program history at No. 7, as she joins five Minutewomen on the list and becomes the first since teammate Renata Farima was 17th in the 2022 ITA Northeast Regional Rankings. Janja Kovacevic and Jodie Lawwrence-Taylor earned the No. 17 and No. 19 spots, respectively, in 2018-19, while Ana Yrazusta was No. 14 in the 2017-18 and Michele Spiess was ranked No. 26 in 2005-06.
 
Hack and Jonglertrakul received a personal best final ITA New England t Regional Doubles Ranking of No. 5. The partners previously were 10th in the 2021-22 final ITA Regional Doubles Rankings and are the second duo in program history to be ranked twice in their careers. Yrazusta and Carol Benito claimed the No. 4 spot in 2014-15 before earning a No. 9 rank in 2015-16. Additionally, Chantal Swiszcz and Yuliana Motyl were the first Minutewomen pair to be ranked in 2012-13 at No. 6, while Laura Morena and Yrazusta were fourth in 2017-18.
 
Hack finished the season with a 14-6 singles record at the No. 1 position, with a perfect 4-0 record in the league. The Surrey, England, native finished with a doubles mark of 12-8, primarily competing at No. 1 with Jonglertrakul. She tabbed the A-10 Most Outstanding Performer, while landing on the A-10 All-Conference First Team and the A-10 All-Academic Team.
 
Jonglertrakul went 12-5 overall in singles play with an unblemished 5-0 record in the A-10 Conference to close out the season. The Sing Buri, Thailand, native, competed primarily at the No. 2 spot, going 8-2 overall, while spending time at court No. 3 with a 4-3 record. Partnering with Hack at No. 1 doubles, the duo finished at 12-8 on the year. Jonglertrakul garnered an A-10 All-Conference First Team honor.
