AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts women's lacrosse team welcomes Davidson to Garber Field on Saturday for Atlantic 10 play. The Minutewomen and Wildcats begin action at noon on ESPN+.

Last Time Out
UMass scored a season-high 21 goals in Saturday's 21-5 win over St. Bonaventure at Garber Field. The Minutewomen scored 14 consecutive goals after the Bonnies opened the games scoring and finished with a 34-15 shot advantage. Charlotte Wilmoth led 11 different goal scorers with five goals and two assists while Fiona McGowan added three goals and four assists. Delaney Rodriguez-Shaw, Katie Peterson, and Tessa Shields each added multi-goal games for the Minutewomen.

Series History
Saturday's game marks the 13th all-time meeting between UMass and Davidson with the first matchup coming during the 2015 season. UMass holds a 12-0 all-time series lead and defeated the Wildcats 14-4 in the regular season and 15-8 in the A-10 Tournament.

A-10 Weekly Duo
Fiona McGowan and Layton Nass earned Atlantic 10 weekly awards as announced by the league on Monday. McGowan was tabbed the A-10 Offensive Player of the Week after posting a team-high 16 points on 11 assists and five goals while passing 100 goals for her career. Nass earned the A-10 Defensive Player of the Week honor after causing a team-leading six turnovers to go along with six groundballs and a goal.

Quick Draw
Jordan Dean came into the week as the Division I and Atlantic 10 leader in draw controls per game at 12.67. The junior has reached double-digits in draw controls in 7-of-9 games this season, including posting back-to-back career-high 19 draw controls at La Salle and against St. Bonaventure. Dean currently ranks third all-time at UMass in career draw controls with 308 and is three away from passing Hannah Murphy (310, 2014-16) for second all-time. Caitlyn Petro (2018-21) holds the program record for draw controls in a career with 394.

20-20 Vision
The Minutewomen racked up a season-high 21 goals in Saturday's win over St. Bonaventure. UMass has reached 20 or more goals in three of four games to begin Atlantic 10 play and are averaging 19.25 goals per game in league competition. The Minutewomen had 12 different goal scorers at La Salle and had 11 in the win over St. Bonaventure.

Helping Hand
Fiona McGowan ranks among the top-16 nationally in both assists and assists per game. McGowan has 23 assists on the year and averages 2.56 assists per game to lead the A-10. The attacker ranks seventh in career assists at UMass and trails Cari Nickerson's 106 for sixth-most all-time. McGowan has multiple assists in 7-of-9 games this season and racked up a career-high seven assists in the win at La Salle. Her 202 career points ranks tied for ninth-most all-time at UMass and trails Pam Moryl (215, 1982-85) for eighth all-time.

Midseason All-American
Jordan Dean was tabbed an ILWomen Midseason All-America First-Team selection as announced by the organization on Thursday afternoon.

Movin' On Up
Audra Tosone moved into third all-time at UMass in career caused turnovers at George Mason on March 9, finishing with a pair of give her 88 for her career. The graduate currently has 92 caused turnovers and trails Kate Farnham's 95 for second-most all-time while Kristin St. Hilaire holds the program record with 115.

Controlling The Game
UMass ranks third nationally in draw controls per game at 18.56, trailing the national leader Northwestern's 18.70. The Minutewomen also rank fifth in draw control percentage at .630 while leading the Atlantic 10 in both categories.

Looking Ahead
UMass heads out on the road for its next two games after Saturday's contest against Davidson and begin the road stretch on Saturday, April 6 at noon at Davidson. The Minutewomen follow with a midweek matchup at UMass Lowell on Tuesday, April 9 and return to Garber Field on April 13 against VCU.
