UMass Softball Falls In Final Regular Season Contest To George Mason, 7-0

FAIRFAX, Va. - The University of Massachusetts softball team fell in their final contest against George Mason on Saturday afternoon. The Minutewomen conclude the regular season at 16-34 and 7-18 in conference, while the Patriots finish off with a 31-21 overall record and 16-10 in conference.
The Patriots opened up with an immediate three-run inning in the first thanks to an RBI triple and an RBI single. They continued their run with another RBI single in both the second and third innings. Both teams were quiet until the sixth, when the Patriots tacked on two more runs to round out scoring in the contest.
Bella Pantoja was the lone Minutewoman to log a base hit on the day when she singled to left field in the fourth inning.
Julianne Bolton got the start in the circle for UMass, logging a strikeout and allowing three earned runs and five hits in 2.0 innings of work. Jessie DiPasquale then got the nod, throwing three strikeouts and allowing one earned run and four hits in the remaining 4.0 innings.
