Massachusetts Men's Lacrosse's Knote Named To USILA Division I Team Of The Week

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts men's lacrosse Matt Knote was named to the USILA Division I Team of the Week, the organization announced on Wednesday. It marks the second time this season that Knote has earned the recognition, coming on the back of his fourth Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week nod.
Knote was instrumental in UMass' 13-9 win over Hobart on Garber Field last Friday that helped the Gorillas secure an Atlantic 10 Tournament berth.
The Speonk, New York native registered 16 saves, including 11 in the second half against the Statemen. He ended the regular season as the national leader in save percentage (.597) and tops in the A-10 in goals against average (8.89, third nationally) and saves per-game (13.00, 14th nationally).
