Massachusetts Men's Lacrosse's Campbell Earns PLL Roster Spot With Archers LC

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts men's lacrosse alumnus Chris Campbell has been named to the 25-man roster for Archers LC as the club gets set to open the 2023 Premier Lacrosse League season this weekend in Albany, New York.
Campbell, who joined the Gorillas for his final year of eligibility in 2022-23, helped UMass finish the 2023 regular season ranked third in the nation in scoring defense at 9.00 goals per-game and second nationally in man-down defense at .769, first in the A-10 in both categories. He started all 14 games, contributing 25 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers. Campbell was named to the inaugural Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Conference Team and NEILA All-New England Preseason Team and All-Atlantic 10 and All-New England honors at the conclusion of the 2023 campaign as well. He was an All-NEC first team and NEC All-Tournament Team honoree at LIU in 2022 after playing his first two years of collegiate lacrosse at Hartford.
Campbell becomes the fourth Massachusetts lacrosse alum on an active PLL roster this season as Jeff Trainor '21 is with the Cannons, Sean Sconone '19 is on the Chrome and Will Manny '13 is a member of the Whipsnakes.
