AMHERST, Mass. - The no. 14-ranked UMass women's lacrosse team begins a two-game road stretch on Saturday at VCU. The Minutewomen and Rams are set for a noon draw on ESPN3.

Movin' On Up
Senior Audra Tosone continues her move up the UMass record books for single season and career caused turnovers. Tosone has 34 caused turnovers this season to rank sixth-most in a single season at UMass while her 71 for her career is four away from fourth all-time by a Minutewoman.

Top-25 Rankings
The Minutewomen moved up another spot this week to no. 14 in the latest IWLCA/ILWomen Top-25 poll. UMass climbed from 24 to 20 after defeating A-10 foe Richmond in a top-25 matchup and moved up another four spots to 16 the following week.

Minutewomen Among National Leaders
Audra Tosone ranks fourth among Division I leaders in caused turnovers per game at 2.54 and is 11th in the country in ground balls per game with 3.23 per contest. Fiona McGowan's 28 assists ranks 17th nationally while her 59 points is 15th in DI and atop the Atlantic 10. Alex Finn is top-25 in the nation in both shot percentage (.600) and assists (26).

Team Rankings
UMass leads the nation in ground balls per game at 21.31 and ranks among the top-10 in the country in multiple team categories. The Minutewomen hold the nation's third-best scoring margin (8.08) and are fourth in scoring defense at 7.69. UMass also ranks sixth in points per game (23.77) and seventh in both assists per game (8.00) and draw control percentage (.875).

Stay Winnin'
The Minutewomen hold a 12-1 record and the nation's fifth-best win percentage in Division I. UMass has a win percentage of .923 and is one of just seven teams with one or less losses this season.

Four-Time DPoW
Audra Tosone was named the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon for the fourth time this season. Tosone set a new program record with seven caused turnovers in a single game and secured seven ground balls in Saturday's win over Duquesne.

On The Draw
Sophomore Jordan Dean continues her move up the rankings in the UMass record book. Dean's 144 career draw controls ranks fifth-most all-time at UMass while her 93 this season is ninth-most in a single season by a Minutewoman. Dean needs 10 more draw controls to pass Caitlin Petro for eighth all-time.

Home Sweet Home
UMass is on an 11-game regular season winning streak at Garber Field dating back to last season. The Minutewomen won five consecutive regular season games on their home field last season and are 6-0 at Garber this year. UMass last lost a game at home on March 5, 2022 in non-conference play and hasn't lost a regular season league game at home since April 18, 2010.

Looking Ahead
UMass concludes its regular season road slate next Saturday with a noon draw at Saint Joseph's before returning home to Garber Field for Senior Day on April 29 against George Mason.
