AMHERST, Mass. - The no. 16-ranked University of Massachusetts women's lacrosse team returns to action on Saturday with a noon draw at Davidson. The matchup between the Minutewomen and the Wildcats will be broadcast on ESPN3.

Team Among National Leaders
The Minutewomen rank inside the top-10 among DI teams in multiple categories this season. UMass averages 19.6 ground balls per game to rank fourth while forcing 11.6 turnovers for contest to rank sixth. Offensively, the Minutewomen rank seventh in scoring offense at 15.8 goals per game while defensively, ranking eighth in scoring defense at 8.3.

Midseason All-America
Fiona McGowan earned a spot on the ILWomen Midseason All-America list as she was tabbed an honorable mention on Friday morning.

Top-25 Poll
The Minutewomen remained at 16 for the second straight week in the IWLCA Division I Top-25 Poll after moving up four spots in each of the two weeks prior. UMass climbed from 24 to 20 after defeating A-10 foe Richmond in a top-25 matchup and moved up another four spots to 16 the following week.

Fiona's On Fire
Fiona McGowan ranks eighth nationally in points with 53 and is 11th among DI leaders in assists with 26. The senior averages 2.36 assists per game to rank 14th while ranking among the top-75 in goals with 27. McGowan needs just one more assist to reach 50 for her career and would tie her for 13th-most in a single season at UMass.

Stay Winnin'
The Minutewomen are fourth in the country in win percentage at .909 with a 10-1 record. UMass is currently on a 

Turning Them Over
Audra Tosone ranks ninth among DI leaders in caused turnovers per game at 2.27 while ranking 14th in ground balls per game at 3.0. Fellow defender Hannah Heller ranks 58th nationally in caused turnovers at 1.55 while Amy Moreau ranks inside the top-100 at 84 with 1.36 caused turnovers per game.

Home Sweet Home
UMass is on a 10-game regular season winning streak at Garber Field dating back to last season. The Minutewomen won five consecutive regular season games on their home field last season and are 5-0 at Garber this year. UMass last lost a game at home on March 5, 2022 in non-conference play and hasn't lost a regular season league game at home since April 18, 2010. 

Scoring Margin
UMass ranks fifth among Division I teams in scoring margin by outscoring its opponents by an average of 7.6 goals per game. In four A-10 games this season, the Minutewomen have outscored their opponents by an average of 13 goals per game and have won all three by double-digits.

Looking Ahead
The Minutewomen return home to Garber Field on Saturday, April 8 for a 1 p.m. draw against Duquesne. UMass has just two home games remaining on the schedule and will recognize its seniors prior to its matchup against George Mason on April 29 at noon.
