Massachusetts Softball Announces 2024 Season Schedule

AMHERST, Mass. -- The University of Massachusetts softball program released its 51-game slate for the 2024 season, head coach Danielle Henderson announced Thursday afternoon. The Minutewomen will host 15 games at Sortino Field, including 12 in Atlantic 10 conference play.
UMass begins the season with four tournaments, traveling to the Charleston Southern Tournament on February 9-11 and the Houston Tournament on Feb. 16-18 for five games apiece before heading to Columbia, S.C. for four games at the South Carolina Invite from Feb. 23-25. The non-conference tournament schedule concludes in Greensboro, N.C. as the Minutemen play five games at UNC Greensboro. The early season tournament slate features matchups against South Carolina, Houston, James Madison, Charleston Southern, And Nicholls State among others.
The Minutewomen begin Atlantic 10 play in St. Louis, Mo. on March 16 as they take on St. Louis in a three-game series. Massachusetts will then turn its attention to the 2024 home opener as the Minutemen host UMass Lowell on March 20 for an in-state midweek matchup.
Massachusetts will host 15 games at Sortino Field this season, including four A-10 conference series. Home conference play opens up with a three-game series against Fordham on March 23-24. The Minutewomen will return home for back-to-back weekend series against Dayton (April 6-7) and George Mason (April 13-14) before hosting regional rival UConn on April 17. Massachusetts completes its 2024 regular season slate against Saint Joseph's on May 4-5.
The Atlantic 10 Championship will be held on May 7-11 in Bronx, N.Y. at Fordham.
