Last time out 

  • The Massachusetts Women's Lacrosse team climbed to 10-2 on with a comfortable 19-7 victory over the Patriots of George Mason University. This win promoted the Minutewomen to 4-0 in the Atlantic 10, tying Richmond as the trailblazers of the conference. The assists on the day far favored Massachusetts, as they were able to grab six, compared to George Mason's one.
  • Fourteen players for UMass were able to add a goal to the tally, and leading the way with three points apiece were senior Maddy Moloney and graduate student Olivia Muscella. Tallying two goals, and with them, here 200th career point, was graduate student, Kendra Harbinger. 
  • Gina Carroll and junior Bridgette Wall combined to hold the opposition under ten goals yet again. The clears for Massachusetts were near perfection 10-11, but the shots on goal were where they really were able to outpace the Patriots (23-9).

The Series vs. GW

  • The Minutewomen hold an 18-4 record against George Washington. 
  • The teams met in 2002 for the first time, with the last meeting in 2019.
  • The Minutewomen hold an 8-3 record at home, 9-1 on the road and 1-0 in neutral site games. 
The Series vs. Richmond 

  • Massachusetts currently sits at 21-10 against the Spiders, with an 8-2 record at home, a 6-5 record on the road, and a 7-2 neutral site record. 
  • The first meeting between the two teams took place in 2002, and the last in 2019. 
The Last Time vs. GW

  • UMass women's lacrosse team cruised to a 21-9 senior day victory over George Washington at Garber Field in 2019
  • The win notched a perfect 9-0 run through the A-10 schedule as UMass finished the regular-season with a 14-3 overall record. 
  • Haley Connaughton scored twice and added an assist.

The Last Time vs. Richmond  

  • The UMass women's lacrosse took a 13-12 victory over Atlantic 10 rival Richmond at Garber Field. The win secured the 2019 Atlantic 10 Regular-Season title for the Minutewomen.

Head Strong

  • The Massachusetts women's lacrosse program participated in the Head Strong Foundations, Hair Havoc game for cancer on March 5 against UConn.

  • Under the Headstrong Foundation, graduate midfielder, Olivia Muscella has created Kendra's Kindness Foundation in honor of her mother. All proceeds from the March 5 contest were donated to families effected by cancer in the name of the Kendra's Kindness Foundation. 
  • The fundraiser is a season-long effort as the Minutewomen work to benefit more families impacted my cancer. 
Celebration Station 

  • The Massachusetts women's lacrosse program is set to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the University's first national championship in 1982. 
  • Former players and head coach, Pam Hixon will be honored at halftime of Sunday's game against Richmond.
GW this season 

  • GW currently sits at fifth in the A-10
  • Megan Patrick currently sits at No. 4 in the conference in save percentage, and No. 3 in saves per game. 
  • Tori Hampton leads the program with 14 goals, and 20 total points on the season. 
  • GW was picked to finish seventh in the A-10 Preseason Coaches' Poll. 
Spiders this season 

  • No. 19 Richmond heads into the weekend with a 10-2 record on the season, 4-0 in A-10 play. 
  • Currently tied with the Minutewomen at No. 1 in the conference. 
  • Arden Tierny sits at No. 2 in the A-10 in ppg, and assists per game with 1.33 apg. 
  • Lindsey Frank leads the team with 28 goals on the season, and sits at No. 2 in the A-10 in shots per game, and no. 5 in the A-10 with goals per game at 2.33. 
  • The Spiders sit at No. 12 in scoring defense nationally. 
  • Goalkeeper, Delaney Galvin, sits at No. 10 nationally in goals against, No. 6 in save percentage, and No. 15 in total saves this season. 
  • The Spiders were selected to finish third in the A-10 Preseason Coaches' Poll. 

Leading the Pack

  • Kendra Harbinger is currently No.3 in the conference in goals per game at 2.55, and 30th nationally in shot percentage.
  • Alex Finn is No. 3 in the A-10 in assists per game, and No. 5 in points per game. 
  • Gina Carroll is currently 19th nationally in goals against, while Kelly Marra is tied for 19th nationally in shot percentage. 
  • The Minutewomen currently lead the A-10 in scoring Margin, winning by an average of seven goals per game. 
  • Junior Audra Tosone sits at number two in the conference in ground balls and caused turnovers per game. 
  • UMass is currently tied at No. 11 in the NCAA for assists per game and tied at No. 14 for scoring defense. 
  • With her 200th win, Angela McMahon-Serpone further solidified her spot as the winningest coach in program history. 
  • The Minutewomen are No. 1 in the A-10 in goals per game, points per game. 
  • The Minutewomen lead the league and rank fifth in Division 1 in caused turnovers per game.
  • UMass is currently fourth in scoring offense nationally, and first in clear percentage, while being 8th in win percentage. 
  • UMass was picked as the favorite to win the league in the A-10 Preseason Coaches' Poll.
