- The Massachusetts women's lacrosse program participated in the Head Strong Foundations, Hair Havoc game for cancer on March 5 against UConn.

- Under the Headstrong Foundation, graduate midfielder, Olivia Muscella has created Kendra's Kindness Foundation in honor of her mother. All proceeds from the March 5 contest were donated to families effected by cancer in the name of the Kendra's Kindness Foundation.
- The fundraiser is a season-long effort as the Minutewomen work to benefit more families impacted my cancer.
- VCU enters the weekend at 5-4 overall and 1-1 in the league standings. The Rams will travel to UMass on Friday ahead of their match with the Dukes on Sunday.
- The Rams opened A-10 play last weekend with a win over George Mason, before falling to La Salle 12-11 on Sunday.
