Last time out

Kelly Marra notched five goals, earning 100 career points as a Minutewoman to lead the No. 22 Massachusetts women's lacrosse program to their fifth win of the season over the Siena College Saints. With the win, head coach Angela McMahon-Serpone earned her 200^th win as a head coach.
UMass was led by Kelly Marra who tabbed five goals on six shots in the contest. Kendra Harbinger notched a hat-trick, while Alex Finn and Haley Connaughton each had two goals. Five other Minutewomen scored in the contest, including Paris Melberg who scored her first collegiate goal.
Gina Carroll picked up five ground balls as she defended the net, earning her fifth win of the season. The senior picked up five saves in the victory. Maya Keenan-Gallagher recorded six draw controls in the win to lead UMass.

The Series

This will be the first meeting between Dartmouth and UMass since 2020 before the shortened COVID season.
Dartmouth leads the series 10-22, and this is the first matchup for the Minutewomen this season, in which they do not hold the lead in the series.

The Last Time vs. Dartmouth

The teams last met at Garber field on Saturday, February 15, 2020.
Haley Connaughton (four goals, two assists), but No. 22 Dartmouth (1-0) received a combined nine goals from Ellie Carson (five goals, one assist) and Sophia Turchetta (four goals, one assist) to knock off the No. 13 UMass women's lacrosse team by a score of 15-11.
Although the Minutewomen led at the half, Dartmouth rattled off six of the first seven goals of the second half to open up a 12-8 advantage. UMass would bring it within three midway through the half, but Turchetta added two goals in the final nine minutes to put the game out of reach.
It was a back and forth battle in the opening 30 minutes as the teams exchanged goals, with Connaughton doing the damage for the Minutewomen to bring the game level at four with 14 minutes to play in the half, before Olivia Muscella put the hosts up by one with 10:40 before the break.

Head Strong

The Massachusetts women's lacrosse program participated in the Head Strong Foundations, Hair Havoc game for cancer on March 5 against UConn.

Under the Headstrong Foundation, graduate midfielder, Olivia Muscella has created Kendra's Kindness Foundation in honor of her mother. All proceeds from the March 5 contest were donated to families effected by cancer in the name of the Kendra's Kindness Foundation.
The fundraiser is a season-long effort as the Minutewomen work to benefit more families impacted my cancer.

Dartmouth this season

Katie Elders leads the Big Green this season with 12 goals and one assist, followed by Katina Christensen with 9 goals.
Dartmouth comes into Friday's contest with a 2-2 record overall, sitting 0-1 in Ivy League play.
In goal, Gisel Todd has played in all four games, starting in two. The freshman has a 1-1 record with a team high .487 save percentage.
Nieve Donogan leads the defensive effort with six caused turnovers on the season.

Scoreboard
