- The University of Massachusetts women's lacrosse program improved to 4-2 on the season after an 18-7 defeat over Vanderbilt on Friday afternoon. Alex Finn led the Minutewomen with four goals in the contest.
- Four Minutewomen posted hat-tricks, led by Finn who had four goals and two assists to lead with six points total, followed by Kelly Marra, Kendra Harbinger, and Olivia Muscella with three each.
- Fiona McGowan was the only other UMass player to post a multi-goal game, while Amy Moreau, Quinn Daly, and Kylee Bowen each tabbed a goal in the victory.
- Audra Tosone caused three Commodore turnovers, picked up two ground balls while also leading with three draw controls. Courtney Barrett notched four ground balls to lead the Minutewomen, also causing two turnovers.
- Gina Carroll picked up her fourth win of the season with eight saves in the effort.

- This will be the first meeting between the Minutewomen and the Saints in 10 seasons.
- UMass leads the series 2-0, with the first meeting taking place in 2011, and the most recent being in 2012.
- UMass sits at 1-0 at home, and 1-0 on the road against Siena College.
- The No. 17 UMass women's lacrosse team used an 11-goal run to start the first half before cruising to a 19-6 win over Siena on Saturday at McGuirk Stadium in its non-conference finale.
- Nine different Minutewomen scored goals in the game – eight of whom found the net in the opening run. Defensively, the tandem of goalies Katie Florence and Rachel Vallarelli split time, allowing the second-fewest goals of the season.
- UMass' Katie Ferris led all scorers with eight points on four goals and four assists. Cori Murray finished the game with a pair of goals and three assists, while Lauren Terracciano and Sam Rush each posted three goals and an assist.
- Florence earned the win in goal, making six saves in 25 minutes of work. Vallarelli played 35 minutes in cage making four stops including several on point-blank attempts by Siena.

- The Massachusetts women's lacrosse program participated in the Head Strong Foundations, Hair Havoc game for cancer on March 5 against UConn.

- Under the Headstrong Foundation, graduate midfielder, Olivia Muscella has created Kendra's Kindness Foundation in honor of her mother. All proceeds from the March 5 contest were donated to families effected by cancer in the name of the Kendra's Kindness Foundation.
- The fundraiser is a season-long effort as the Minutewomen work to benefit more families impacted my cancer.
- The Saints head into the contest a 2-4 on the season.
- Siena is led by Nicole McNeely with 23 total points on 12 goals and 11 assists, while Jordan Bentley contributes 12 goals on the year as well.
- In goal, Ally Mervin sits with a 1-4 record, and leads the team in ground balls with 16.
- Emily Fiorillo has tallied nine caused turnovers on the season to lead the Saint's defensive effort.
