Comin' In Hot
- UMass women's lacrosse tabbed their first victory on February 12 against the UMass Lowell River Hawks.
- The Minutewomen went on a four-goal tear to start the game; scoring four unanswered goals in the first two minutes of the contest.
- Graduate transfer, Kendra Harbinger, made her UMass debut with four goals before the conclusion of the first half as nine Minutewomen scored, with seven having multiple goals.
- Gina Carroll took the win, notching five saves in the contest, before Bridget Wall closed the final frame.

- A road trip to Chestnut Hill ended in a 19-7 loss for the Minutewomen against the No. 11 BC Eagles.
- Hayley Connaughton led the Minutewomen with two goals, and two assists on the day. Anderson, Mara, and Muscella each tallied a goal in the contest.
- Boston College held a 26-24 shot advantage, while UMass won the turnover game, notching 15 to the Eagles' 21.
- BC held the advantage in draw controls, leading 22-6.
Guess Who's Back
- The Minutewomen returned 9-of-12 starters from their 2021 A-10 Championship squad.
- The nine returners cover all positions, as A-10 player of the year Haley Connaughton returns for her victory lap, along with 83-point contributor, Kelly Marra who posted 47 goals and 11 assists in 2021.
- UMass returns Olivia Muscella and Amy Moreau in the midfield, and a powerhouse defense returning Brinley Anderson, preseason All-conference defender, Courtney Barrett, and All A-10 defender Audra Tosone.
- Bridgette Wall returns for UMass in goal after seeing action in eight games last season.
Oh Captain, My Captain
- UMass announces Muscella, Anderson, Connaughton, and Moreau as the 2022 captains to lead the Minutewomen.
- Muscella tallied 33 goals last season for UMass, with 30 draw controls. Her performance in 2021 garnered the respect of the A-10 coaches, earning her preseason A-10 honors.
- After a prolific spring, Amy Moreau earned herself a Team USA Lacrosse tryout in the summer of 2021 and will lead the midfield group alongside Muscella this season. The senior earned preseason A-10 honors announced by the conference.
- 2021 A-10 Player of the Year, Haley Connaughton, returns for her victory lap after earning preseason honors for the 2022 season. Connaughton also garnered Inside Lacrosse preseason A-10 Offensive player of the year honors.
- Brinley Anderson returns and will add to the defensive leadership for the Minutewomen after notching 10 goals in 2021.
